The Academy of Business Leaders has officially become a Gold approved ACCA Learning Partner, according to a press statement sent to Business Malta. Succeeding the Silver status, Gold membership recognises the quality of tuition, as well as the overall integrated learning process set up to support students in their learning journey, the academy says.

The acquired Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Gold status also acknowledges factors such as learning support, business development guidance, and quality monitoring provided to students.

With over 1,000 registered students, 50 tutors and seven learning partnerships with internationally and locally renowned professional bodies and educational institutions, the Academy of Business Leaders has been on steady growth over recent years.

The Academy of Business Leaders offers a range of ACCA courses, from regular ACCA papers to ACCA apprenticeship programmes up to 30 months. As an ACCA Accelerate institution, it also provides a fast-track learning environment for students to acquire the desired skills and boost their career with an internationally acknowledged skill set.

“Achieving such an elite status is an incredibly important accomplishment for us at the Academy of Business Leaders and we couldn’t be prouder,” Academy of Business Leaders CEO Morgan Parnis said.

“We launched the Academy of Business Leaders with the intent to provide professionals with opportunities to increase their awareness of industry issues, learn the skills necessary to handle today’s changes and discover their potential. Six years later, our efforts continue to go into building the talent of tomorrow, bridging the skills gap and creating equal opportunities to students wishing to propel their studies and careers forward,” Mr Parnis added.

“Achieving the Gold ACCA Learning Provider status is both a reflection of all that we’ve accomplished as an educational institution so far, as well as a code for future practice which we’ll continue to exercise to deliver an outstanding learning experience,” Mr Parnis concluded.

The demand for ACCA-certified professionals has been growing globally. “ACCA’s strategy is all about creating the accountancy profession the world needs, to develop talented people of the ability to be the accountants of tomorrow,” said Abdul Goffar, ACCA’s Head of Western Europe.

Founded in 1904, the London-based Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a global professional accounting body. As a leading organisation in the field, it has recorded 7,400 approved employers, 80 accountancy partnerships, 219,000 members and 527,000 students in 179 countries in 2019.

Launched in 2013 and official ACCA Learning Partner since 2017, the Academy of Business Leaders empowers professionals desiring to further their education and business skills by offering accredited courses in leadership and management, coaching and mentoring, marketing, human resources, employment law and finance, the press statement says.

The post Academy of Business Leader becomes Gold approved ACCA Learning Partner first appeared on The Malta Business Weekly.

EY Malta is once again accepting applications for another year of EY360 — a fast-track two-year ACCA Programme powered by the Academy of Business Leaders (ABL), according to a press statement sent to Business Malta.

The programme offers an all-round and full-on experience to students, EY Malta says. The education programme is highly focused and offers a fast route to becoming a qualified professional accountant, as well as gaining valuable work experience with EY.

Students successfully completing the programme will become ACCA qualified and might be able to secure full-time employment with EY. Students will also be exposed to a structured approach that will be hosted on-site at the new state of the art EY Connect Centre, as well as lectures provided by EY industry experts. EY believes that its hands-on approach, with the dedication of the students and lecturers, has proven to be very successful.

“The key to EY360 is that the student’s goals are placed at the heart of the programme. We are very proud of this development programme which will provide ongoing support to help grow students’ strengths, maximise their opportunities, and have a lasting impact,” said Ronald Attard, EY Malta’s Country Managing Partner.

“We are delighted to once again be powering EY360, following on from last year’s fantastic results which saw the first cohort embarking on the ACCA Accelerate Work Study Programme,” said Morgan Parnis, CEO of the Academy of Business Leaders, when commenting on the success of the programme and cooperation with EY for Business Malta.

The post EY Malta launches another EY360 with ABL first appeared on The Malta Business Weekly.
