										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Malta’s Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) growth remained constant at 1.8% in July, according to the latest figures published by the National Statistics Office (NSO). The twelve-month moving average rate for July stood at 1.7%. </strong></p>



<p>The largest upward impact was measured in restaurants and hotels (0.57 pp), due to higher costs of restaurant services, while the largest downward impact was recorded in education (0.09 pp).</p>



<p>The highest annual inflation rates were recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.2%) and miscellaneous goods and services (2.8%).</p>



<p style="text-align:left">The lowest annual inflation was registered in education (-4.6%) and clothing and footwear (-1.6%)</p>
