										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Malta’s seasonally adjusted index of industrial production dropped by 1.7% in February, as compared to the preceding month, according to figures published by the National Statistics Office (NSO)</strong></p>



<p>Despite recorded increases in the production of consumer goods and capital goods of 4% and 1.9%, respectively; significant drops have been registered in the production of energy (6.6%) and intermediate goods (1.7%). </p>



<p>The index of industrial production adjusted for working days decreased by 1.5%, as compared to the same month a year earlier. Drops were registered in the production of energy (6.6%), production of intermediate goods (3.4%) and the production of consumer goods (0.8%), while the production of capital goods was up by 3.0%, according to NSO figures.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Malta’s industrial production adjusted for working days increased by year-on-year 2.8% in January, according to figures published by the National Statistics Office (NSO). Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 2.3% as compared to the preceding month.</strong></p>



<p>Year-on-year growth occurred in the production of energy (39.1%) and capital goods (4.5%), while the production of consumer goods and intermediate goods dropped by 5.7%and 5.2%, respectively, according to data by NSO.</p>



<p>As compared to December 2018, growth was seen in the production of energy (4.0%), intermediate goods (2.4%) and capital goods (0.6%), while the output of consumer goods dropped by 3.9 per cent, the NSO report shows.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Industrial space was allocated for 11 Gozitan micro enterprises within the new Tal-Hofra Workshop Complex in Xewkija, a facility currently under construction with the expected handover in the upcoming months, according to a press statement issued by the Malta Enterprise.</strong></p>



<p>The entrepreneurs are engaged in diverse local trades including woodworks, aluminium works, upholstery, wrought iron, as well as marble and granite, the press statement says.</p>



<p>“The project at Tal-Hofra, which is co-financed through the ERDF, will see the construction of 15 units with different sizes.
