“Referring to Chapter 18, section 12, second paragraph and Chapter 19, section 10 of the new Gambling act, Spelinspektionen has resolved on a warning and imposed a penalty fee of SEK 3m,” the company said in a press release.

The report by Spelinspektionen says that the infringement took place when Spelpaus was newly established as a service and the obligation to apply the function was new to all licensees and that the infringement ceased after a relatively short period of time, the company says.

“Aspire Global shares Spelinspektionen’s ambition to promote healthy gaming behaviour and regrets the turn of events,” the press release underscores.
