AC Milan makes a visit to the Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

Emirates, the Premier Partner and Official Airline of Expo 2020 Dubai, welcomed an AC Milan delegation to its Pavilion.

The AC Milan delegation was headed by Ivan Gazidis, Chief Executive Officer of AC Milan, and also included a number of senior executives at the club. The group had a chance to experience and interact with the futuristic installations at the Emirates Pavilion, and were all able to embark on their own personalised aviation journey. Emirates is featuring 10 immersive, forward-thinking experiences highlighting  the best that is yet to come in aviation, showcasing how important mobility is for the world today and in the future.

Later in the day, AC Milan’s CEO, Ivan Gazidis also participated in a panel discussion around the future of football and its role in society, and the importance of a new generation of stadiums, helping bring the club’s perspective around how sustainable infrastructure can positively impact the game, as well as local communities. The discussion drew upon case studies, diving into why a new stadium in the club’s home city will be a crucial asset for the future of AC Milan. The delegation also visited the UAE and Italian pavilions during their Expo 2020 Dubai tour.

With 7 UEFA Champions League and 18 Serie A titles to their name, AC Milan is one of the most successful clubs in Europe and on the international stage. Emirates has been a proud sponsor of the Italian football club AC Milan since 2007, and elevated its status to Top Institutional Sponsor, with the airline’s logo on the club’s jersey first appearing in the 2010/2011 season. Emirates’ sponsorship of AC Milan will continue until the 2022/2023 season, building on the long-standing and successful relationship between the ‘Rossoneri’ and the airline, which has lasted for over 15 years.
