APS Bank plc welcomed 17 students from Maria Regina College, Mosta, Secondary School at their Head Office in Swatar. This initiative, organised by eSkills Malta Foundation, focused on raising student knowledge and awareness about the educational schemes and student placement opportunities related to the ICT industry, designed to improve career options and ICT competencies. The visit included an introduction by the APS Bank Career Development Department; a presentation on the various ICT career paths by Johan Mifsud, Executive at eSkills Malta Foundation, and an overview of the different areas of technology within the Bank by Ronald Psaila, Head of Business Solutions at APS Bank. The APS Bank Products Team delivered a presentation showcasing the products offered to students. The visit concluded with a tour of the Bank’s Technology Department.
Elaine Calleja, Head of Career Development commented, “We are glad we could support this great initiative, introducing students to the various possibilities a career in ICT can offer, especially in the banking industry, which is constantly evolving and innovating. We hope that this activity enthused students to pursue further studies in Technology.”
This initiative is one of a series of activities that the Technology and Human Capital Departments are planning with educational institutions, such as MCAST and University of Malta.
