Cloud services provider BMIT added a new backup solution entitled “Backup-as-a-Service” (BaaS) to their product portfolio, according to a press statement issued by BMIT. This comes shortly after the announcement of their partnership with Microsoft and building a new data centre.
“One of our main drivers at BMIT is the dedication to keeping customer’s data constantly safe and accessible. The introduction of our new BaaS solution further reinforces this commitment. We’re giving our clients even more flexibility and control in how they implement their backup setup,” says Jack Mizzi, Chief Marketing Officer of BMIT.
“We’ve pitched this new solution during our meetings here at ICE 2019, and the feedback has been very encouraging. We’re excited to start working with these new customers and not only improving their backup system but also simplifying the management of it,” he adds.
The new cloud solution can be stored in BMIT’s data centre facilities or within the client’s premises. BaaS supports multi-platform backups with workstation backups.
Under the recently-announced partnership, Microsoft Azure products will become more accessible to local businesses.
BMIT is set to open this new state of the purpose-built facility in Żejtun by next year, with works already underway.
