The Convenience Group has opened the first fuel station concept store in Malta where customers will be able to pick up essential items and grab a quick snack or coffee.

The outlet, located at Paul and Rocco in Gzira, will be the 70th Convenience Shop across Malta and marks another step in the Group’s drive to become the island’s leading food retailer.

Customers will be able to take advantage of the offerings at the Paul and Rocco fuel station all day as it will be open between 6am and 10pm.

Group CEO Martin Agius said: “Our mantra is convenience and we are very excited to be providing customers with a new shopping experience. As well as being fully stocked with a deli, fruit and vegetable counter, our clients will be able to have a coffee or snack while they are on the move.

“Our aim is to provide Convenience Shops in interesting and strategic locations that will enhance our offering to the local and expat market,” Mr Agius said.

A new Convenience Shop recently opened in St Paul’s Bay and there will be two more new outlets in Qawra and a prime location in Sliema by the end of 2020. These are in addition to stores in Rabat and Bugibba that opened earlier this year.

The Convenience Shop also recently launched a new online shopping service providing express delivery to clients’ homes which is user-friendly and includes a rapid check-out facility. This proved to be extremely popular while covid restrictions were in place.

Mr Agius said: “We pride ourselves on being able to support the community and this will always remain an integral part of our ethos.”
