Diligex Ltd announced that it has been shortlisted for Technology Partner of the Year at the ICA Compliance Awards 2023, recognising their outstanding dedication and exemplary work in the financial crime and regulatory compliance landscape.

Being shortlisted for an ICA Award provides Diligex with an independent validation of hard work and commitment to compliance practices and helps to benchmark achievements with peers across the UK and Europe. This much-deserved recognition helps in demonstrating the value brought about by implementing a compliance culture within organizations, building trust with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate how we’re helping to drive innovation and standards across the sector.

The award entries were reviewed and assessed by a judging panel comprising senior compliance and financial crime prevention leaders who were looking for outstanding achievements, innovation, collaboration, and excellence across individual submissions, team projects and business initiatives.

Scheduled to take place on 27 April 2023, 6:30PM (BST) at the Hilton London Bankside, UK, the ICA Compliance Awards are the UK’s only awards recognising teams and individuals across the financial crime prevention and regulatory compliance community. Building on their tremendous success in 2022, the Awards are back by popular demand, featuring 19 categories designed to recognise the initiatives and achievements of the compliance community over the past 12-18 months. The categories are split across four key themes, including celebrating teams, recognising individuals, praising collaboration, and showcasing innovation.

This project upon which Diligex has been shortlisted is the following: ‘Implementing KYCMATIC: Bridging Regulatory Compliance with Efficiency through an automated risk-based approach application at Greentube Malta’.

A leader in the online gaming industry, Greentube Malta has always placed regulatory compliance and AML/CFT controls as imperative controls to the proper functioning of their business. Greentube, as the key client, required to achieve more efficiency through automation and consolidation, and peace of mind through broader visibility and control, ongoing updates and cross-application of business processes adapted across jurisdictional requirements and typologies.

Diligex combines AML/CFT compliance expertise through its team of experienced practitioners with a software platform that it has developed internally, providing an ongoing relationship. Through this, Diligex and Greentube have analyzed, reviewed and identified required business processes, and delivered improvements through the implementation of the technological AML/CFT tool – KYCMATIC.

Diligex CEO Matthew Agius Mamo comments that: ‘The recognition of the strive towards understanding business requirements and placing those within the context of a renewed impetus towards a compliance culture and doing things right, is something to celebrate. Commitment towards a risk-based approach allows businesses to focus on where it matters, to be able to thrive in an environment that focuses efforts on the highest risks of AML/CFT. Being shortlisted by the ICA to such an award only steers us to further commit ourselves to deliver value-added solutions to our partners, as we have been doing through the trust placed in us by Greentube’

Greentube Malta Managing Director Antonello Cuschieri commented: ‘Greentube boasts of a strong compliance culture in its business operations. Conscious of the fact that operating in such a dynamic industry requires substantial resources, veering towards further automation as much as possible ensures that monitoring is complemented by the right tools and approach to a compliant environment which protects both the business and customers. Merging Greentube’s expertise in the industry together with Diligex’s technical prowess led to a great collaboration and commendable results in balancing compliance and business needs which augurs well to further synergies in the future.’
