Dr Demicoli joined the firm in 2019 as a senior associate and currently forms part of the firms’ Financial Services and Corporate Law branches. Nicole’ obtained a Doctor of Laws Degree (LL.D.) in 2009 and a Master of Laws Degree in Financial Services in 2011 from the University of Malta. Nicole has been admitted as a member of the Maltese Bar in 2010 and in 2013, Nicole successfully read for and obtained the Tax Diploma organized by the Malta Institute of Taxation. She started her career within the financial service department of a top-tier law firm in Malta with her main areas of practice being advising and assisting local and foreign clients operating in the investment services sector. Subsequently she joined one of the leading fund administrators in Malta and formed part of the corporate secretarial department within the Funds department. Since joining Salibastafrace Legal, Nicole has been actively involved in the structuring and setting up of investment vehicles and other types of licence holders as well as providing advice and ongoing assistance to clients in Malta and abroad in relation to matters dealing with financial services on ad hoc basis. She is also involved in the restructuring of a number of leading local family businesses and also advising commercial entities in Malta exposed to various sectors. She has also contributed to various publications on topical matters related to her areas of practice. The Partners are confident that her 12-year experience in the financial services sector will continue to contribute to the Firm’s success story so far.
In addition to this appointment, Dr Joseph Camilleri was promoted to Senior Associate with Salibastafrace Legal. Joseph joined Saliba Stafrace Legal as a Legal Trainee in 2018 and has since then trained in many of the firm’s practices, with his main area of focus being Public and Civil Law. Joseph graduated from the University of Malta with a Master of Advocacy in 2019 and was shortly thereafter admitted to the bar. He now forms part of the litigation team within the firm and assists in the day-to-day sittings in front of the Local Courts and Tribunals. His areas of practice include civil, conveyance and leasing, as well as employment and inheritance law.
