Eden Leisure Group appoints Daniel Testa as 89.7 Bay’s Station Manager

Daniel Testa has been promoted to 89.7 Bay’s Station Manager after occupying the role of Radio Manager since July 2020. Daniel has over ten years of experience in the radio industry and has worked with some of the world’s biggest radio brands in the UK and US.

Daniel presented his first show on Bay eight years ago. Since then he has moved onto various roles within the station, such as Head of Production and Assistant General Manager amongst others. As Station Manager, he will now be overseeing the day to day running of the radio station, apart from his role as the breakfast show host.

“I feel very honoured to be offered the role of Station Manager at Bay, The whole team are fantastic at what they do and work hard, every day, to bring local, entertaining radio to Malta and Gozo. I look forward to continuing working with the team to build on our success.”

In his new role at 89.7 Bay, he will be responsible for developing and delivering the strategy and marketing required for increasing listenership and strengthening the commercial success of the Eden Leisure Group’s major media operations.

Kevin De Cesare, Director of Eden Leisure Group, who has been overseeing 89.7 Bay over the last few years expressed his support for Testa. “89.7 Bay has been going from strength to strength due to a strong, dedicated team, loyal listeners, innovative programming and its strong brand image,” he said, “I’m confident that he’ll help take Bay to the next level.”

89.7 Bay recently recorded its highest numbers ever, with a whopping 63,000 listeners tuning in every day.
