EMCS has for the fifth time running been awarded the project to conduct a monthly research study for the European Commission.

‘We have been conducting this study since 2004 and we are proud to have once again been selected to execute this project for the next 3 years,” Stefano Mallia, Partner EMCS.

The Consumer Confidence Survey reflects prevailing business conditions and the likely developments in consumer sentiment for the months ahead. This monthly report details consumer attitude, buying intentions, vacation plans and consumer expectation for inflation, stock prices and interest rates. The ultimate goal is to evaluate the current consumer sentiment and future outlook for Malta.

“The data is collected through 1000 telephone surveys which are carried out on a monthly basis. We measure and analyse the insights using standard validated techniques. We have been carrying out this analysis for some 16 years now and therefore we have a huge wealth of information which can show some very interesting trends and changing behaviours,” Caroline Pavia Sciortino, Director EMCS.

EMCS has been a research leader in data and analytics, providing consumer and market insights for over 20 years. We have carried out in-depth market research for various industries and sectors in Malta ranging from the food sector to the telecommunications sector. We have also carried out various surveys with the general population on issues such as the impact of COVID and attitudes towards saving and spending.

From inception we have placed our clients’ and partners’ trust at the core of our values. Our highly experienced consultants and data analysts have continuously pushed industry boundaries with new methodologies and measurement technologies, to help our clients succeed.
