On 1 September VIXIO GamblingCompliance unveiled the official shortlist for the 2022 Global Regulatory Awards.

GTG Advocates was shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Gaming Regulatory Law firm of 2022.

Now in their sixth year, the VIXIO GRAs recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals, teams and businesses across the gambling landscape who have excelled in the field of compliance, corporate social responsibility and safer gambling over the course of the year.

Following VIXIO’s announcement, managing parter, Dr Ian Gauci commented,  “Yesterday’s announcement by VIXIO Regulatory Intelligence which placed GTG Advocates as a finalist for Best Gaming Regulatory #Law Firm in their annual Global Regulatory Awards fills me with pride and confidence that the dimension we wanted to give to our outfit is bearing its fruit. My vision, from day one, was to ensure that #GTG is synonymous with #professionalism#highrepute#topquality and  #perseverance. Over the last years we worked relentlessly on this vision, and both GTG and its team of professionals got ranked annually by LexologyChambers and Partners & The Legal 500 (Legalease). For us, being a finalist is a validation of our vision and work, more so, when we see the calibre of the other 5 international finalists. I am also thankful to my team. Our vision cannot come to fruition, if is not espoused as well by all of our team. On this front I cannot but be proud of the team and consider myself extremely honored to be at the helm of such an outfit. Last but not least, a big thanks to our clients as well as colleagues who trust us and our repute. Our commitment to you is that we will strive to further excel and improve, to provide you constantly with the professionalism, advice and support you deserve.”

GTG’s and Afilexion’s lead partner for the gaming sector, was also thrilled about GTG being a finalist, and said that “Such a recognition is the result of years of hard work, dedication, and loyalty towards our clients and team members. It is the result of years of investment in our internationalisation programme, with GTG and its sister advisory company Afilexion Alliance dedicating continuous efforts in building and maintaining online gaming regulatory expertise in a number of jurisdictions. It is also the result of the network we built with other regulatory / law firms internationally, whereby our team collaborated in numerous cross border M&A and licensing transactions. It is the result of our team’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism, who always go that extra mile for our clients. It is truly an honour to be flying our corporate flag and that of #Malta.”

The winner will be announced during the awards ceremony that will be held on November 30, 2022, at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, London.
