The Association for the Temping and Outsourcing Agencies (AFTA) has been officially established and launched to represent Malta’s key private stakeholders in the outsourcing and temping industry – an industry that plays a vital role in the Maltese economy.
With its members employing tens of thousands across major sectors, AFTA’s mission is to promote ethical standards, good governance, fair treatment and transparency in the temping and outsourcing sector, thus ensuring the sustainable growth of the industry. AFTA aims advocate for positive change by engaging with stakeholders, policy makers and decision-makers, offering expert recommendations that strengthen industry’s integrity.
AFTA’s core objectives include:
“We are committed to supporting the positive changes and contributions made to date in this industry while eradicating out irregular and exploitative practices,” said Fabio Muscat President of AFTA. “By engaging proactively with authorities and stakeholders, we aim to promote ethical standards, regulatory enforcement, and continuous communication.”
Our goals are to prevent the exploitation of employees, unregulated practice and to foster an industry that values integrity, protects workers contributes to a healthy and ethical labour market. Through collaboration with stakeholders AFTA will create a temping and outsourcing industry that is responsible, sustainable, trustworthy, and socially responsible for the benefit of all.
With a focus on four key pillars — economic sustainability, ethical governance, active policy engagement, and employee protection — AFTA will work collaboratively with regulators to ensure the success of both the industry and the broader economy.
