Antes Insurance Brokers Ltd today announced the retirement of Mr. Lawrence Pavia.

Bermuda-based, Argus Group Holdings Ltd acquired the company in 2016, which then merged with FirstUnited Insurance Brokers to form Antes Insurance Brokers Limited in 2021.
Mr. Tyrone Montovio, CEO Europe, thanked Mr. Pavia for his outstanding work, commenting, “Under Lawrence’s stewardship, Island Insurance Brokers became an exemplary insurance broker. His knowledge and experience proved invaluable as we created Antes Insurance Brokers. We’re proud to build on the legacy Lawrence established. While he retires from the day-to-day operations of Antes, I am delighted he will continue to serve on the Antes Board. On behalf of his fellow directors and all Antes employees, I thank Lawrence for his leadership, vision, expertise, and years of dedication to the insurance industry.”
Mr. Kevin Galea Pace who will continue as Managing Director of Antes said, “Lawrence has had an outstanding career and for more than 30 years has been one of the leading professionals in the Maltese insurance market. With his hard work, expertise and dedication, Lawrence ensured the successful merger of two leading broking companies to create Antes Insurance Brokers. He will be missed, and I wish him well in his retirement.”
Mr. Lawrence Pavia added, “During what has been an immensely rewarding career, I am fortunate to have worked with a dedicated and focused team who helped to create a respected organisation in Malta. I will miss the activities involved in the daily operations of Antes. However, I look forward to devoting more time to my family and my art, while working on the Antes Board.”
