Malta Development Bank appoints new Chief Executive Officer

The Malta Development Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Micallef as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

The Board of Directors affirmed its trust in her ability to lead the Bank through its next phase of development, recognising her appointment as a pivotal step in advancing the MDB’s mission amid ongoing developments in the Maltese economy.

Micallef brings over three decades of experience across domestic and international financial institutions, having had leadership roles throughout most of her career.

With her strong track record in regulatory governance, innovation and sustainable growth, she is committed to establishing financial systems that are resilient, inclusive and prepared for future challenges.

This leadership transition marks a significant milestone in the Malta Development Bank’s ongoing evolution as a key institution in Malta’s socio-economic development.
