An exclusive partnership has been announced between two of the island’s most reputable luxury lifestyle brands: the five-star Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa in Balluta Bay, St. Julian’s and the historic Royal Malta Golf Club (RMGC) in Marsa.

Timed to coincide with the final months of Malta’s golfing season and traditionally the start of some of the busiest months for local tourism in spring, this exclusive relationship will be launched officially in March.

Through the partnership, clients of both the RMGC and Malta Marriott will be able to take advantage of highly competitive rates, so both can experience a luxury accommodation experience and an excellent golf package.

“The RMGC is a forward-thinking golf club striving for recognition as one of the best golf clubs in the southern Mediterranean in terms of product and service levels,” explains RMGC General Manager Phil Luxon. “As such, the Club aims to partner with the very best organisations on the island, so that we can offer a more complete service to our clients. We were thus looking for a top-class hotel known for delivering the highest quality and, in partnering with the Marriott Hotel, have established an association with one of the finest hotels in Malta. Its five-star product is exceptional.”

Founded in 1888, the RMGC was initially located in the ditches surrounding the capital, Valletta. It went on to become one of only 66 golf courses around the world to be awarded the ‘Royal’ title. Over the following decades, the course evolved and moved to its present location within the Marsa Sports Grounds and is famed for the high standards maintained throughout.

Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa is located metres from Balluta beach, alongside the tranquil seafront promenade within the bustling, cosmopolitan St. Julian’s town. The newly refurbished contemporary designed hotel – with an investment of €30M, that now includes 25 Club Rooms, 29 Suites and a 170 square-metre Presidential Suite – is positioned to be a leading hotel choice for both business travelers and leisure guests.

Complementing 4 restaurants and two bars, renovated indoor and outdoor pools, a fully equipped Spa & fitness centre, dedicated conference and banqueting facilities, and a market-leading executive lounge, as of Summer 2022 the hotel will be increasing its leisure offerings by introducing an additional outdoor pool facility and a causal dining restaurant.

“We are thrilled to be entering into this exclusive partnership with the RMGC, which promises to even further enhance the five-star luxury experience that guests expect from the Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa,” says Alex Incorvaja, General Manager. “This partnership celebrates the shared passion for high-quality service excellence that our two historic organisations share, and demonstrates even more of the magic of Malta,” he adds.
