Minister Evarist Bartolo and EU Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi discuss developments in Libya

During a meeting in Bled, Slovenia, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Evarist Bartolo together with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, discussed the latest developments in Libya and the situation in the Mediterranean.

They discussed the fulfillment of the European Union’s commitments to help Libya on the challenges of irregular immigration.

Minister Evarist Bartolo is attending the Bled Strategic Forum which is discussing issues facing Europe and the world in the 21st century, with the participation of various European leaders.        

Last May, Minister Bartolo and Commissioner Várhelyi, together with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi di Maio, visited Tripoli for meetings with the Libyan National Unity Government.
