Nestlé’s Purina, a global brand in pet care, announced its new partnership with Agrimed Malta Ltd during its inaugural veterinary event in Malta. The event served as an opportune platform for Purina to introduce Agrimed as its official distributor for the Veterinary Channel, focusing on the Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets range.

Held at The Westin Dragonara Resort Hotel, Purina’s Veterinary Event marked a milestone for the brand’s presence in Malta, fostering connections with the local veterinary doctors and nurses community. The event showcased the specialised Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets range, emphasising its unique features and functionalities tailored to address specific conditions in cats and dogs.

“The veterinary event was a remarkable debut for Purina in Malta, where we had the opportunity to present our Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets range to the local veterinary community,” remarked Fiona Picton, Veterinary Channel Business developer at Nestlé Malta. “The response from the veterinary doctors and nurses was positive, affirming the need for advanced science-based nutrition for pets.”

Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets offer a diverse range of clinical diets and related products, strategically formulated to bolster the efficacy of treatment protocols with targeted and proven formulas. These diets, backed by science and available by prescription only, empower veterinarians to optimise the health and well-being of pets with precise nutritional management.

While Purina’s specialised veterinary range has been accessible in Malta for a number of years, the announcement of Agrimed Malta Ltd as the official distributor for the Veterinary Channel reaffirms Purina’s commitment to enhancing pet care science-based nutrition in collaboration with local partners.

Katriel Coppola, Purina’s Product manager at Nestlé Malta stated that: “At Purina, we firmly believe that life is better with pets. Our collaboration with Agrimed Ltd seeks to empower the veterinary community in Malta, enabling them to provide pet owners with the best nutritional experience for their beloved companions,” concluded Coppola.

Purina looks forward to a fruitful collaboration with Agrimed Ltd, aimed at furthering the collective goal of supporting pet owners in nurturing their beloved animals through the power of science-based nutrition.

Purina is part of Nestlé, a global leader in nutrition, health and wellness.
