George Fenech has been appointed as acting CEO of the Social Care Standards Authority, the Active Aging Ministry said on Thursday.
Fenech is a nurse with 39 years of experience and has a higher diploma in political science and a Masters in administration and governance.
Apart from working as a senior operating theatre scrub nurse, Fenech also held principal posts in hospitals related to logistics and management. He was involved in the transition from St Luke’s Hospital to Mater Dei and the setting up and administration of swabing hubs during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He replaces Lina Cassar.
