Outstanding Achievements celebrated during Malta Public Transport’s Employee Awards

During its recently held annual Employee Awards event, Malta Public Transport acknowledged the outstanding achievements of its employees who achieved excellent results in safety, and demonstrated dedication and commitment to corporate values. The event, which rewarded 90 of the company’s best employees, forms an essential part of promoting and fostering a culture of high performance, which is critical to the success of the company. The occasion also marked the anniversary of 41 employees who have been with Malta Public Transport for 10 years.

“At Malta Public Transport, we understand that our employees are our most valuable asset. We invest in our employees by providing training and development opportunities, as well as a safe and supportive work environment,” said Felipe Cosmen, Chairman of Malta Public Transport, as he congratulated all those who received an award. “We strongly believe that by investing in you, our people, we can foster a culture of excellence, where we will always encourage all our employees to reach their full potential. We look forward to continuing to work together to achieve outstanding results and make a difference in the communities we serve.” 

The awards included the Best Bus Driver of the Year award for each of the Floriana, Marsa, Cirkewwa and Gozo bus depots, the Service Supervisor of the Year, and the Instructor of the Year award. Other awards included the Employee of the Year Awards for various departments such as Stores, Workshop, Engineering, Sales and Customer Care. Awards were also given for Above & Beyond, Best Team Player, and Living Our Values. Recognition certificates were also given to 12 employees who were nominated multiple times by different departments as a gesture of appreciation.
