Prime Minister Robert Abela announced that international company Seifert Systems will make an €8 million investment to expand operations and that this will create 100 new jobs.

The expansion is expected to be up and running by September 2022, and it will see the factory equipped with new energy-efficient machinery. The company specialises in air conditioning systems for industrial settings.

Prime Minister Abela said that this project reflects the government’s vision for the environment.

Seifert Systems CEO Michael Seifert said that the company opened in Malta in 1991 and is today one of the largest within the Group. “We’re convinced that we will not survive as humans, as mankind, if we don’t change the way we live, the way we work and operate. And I think it’s natural to invest in technology and to promote carbon neutral sustainability,” he said.
