University Research Trust receives €12,000
Europa Donna Malta donated €12,000 to the University of Malta’s Research Innovation and Development Trust as part of a three-year bursary to finance a postgraduate scholarship in breast cancer research.

The Malta Hospice Movement has received a €115,000 donation from Farsons Foundation, Farrugia Investments and Multigas Limited for the establishment of the St Michael Hospice complex. The funding is available for a three-year period.

HSBC Bank Malta will donate €1 for every download of its new mobile app — capped at a maximum of €20,000 — to Nature Trust Malta. Funds raised this way will be used to plant 2,000 new trees in 2020.

Qatar Airways donates ‘selfie’ bench to Hospice Malta
Qatar Airways donates its “selfie bench” to Hospice Malta, which is now in the garden of the new 9,000 sqm residential palliative care facility, currently known as the Adelaide Cini Institute. The facility is set to begin receiving patients by 2021.
