Malta’s outbound tourism grows by 8.2% in Q2
The number of Malta's outbound tourists goes up by 8.2% to an estimated 158,161 during the second quarter. The figure goes up by 7.4% to 305,001 in the first half of the year.
Counterfeit euro notes increase in Malta in H1 2019
The number of counterfeit euro banknotes in Malta increased to 844 pieces in January-June 2019. However, overall seizures during 2017 and 2018 remained substantially below the amounts reported in the previous years.

The deficit of international trade in goods in Malta goes from €315.8m to €385.7m in June 2019, compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the provisional figures published by the National Statistics Office (NSO).
