Foreign minister voices support for the youth
Malta is committed to providing the youth with the necessary skills and opportunities they need to realise their potential, Carmelo Abela, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion, said during an EU Foreign Affairs Council Session in Brussels.
UN Child Rights Committee to review Malta among other countries
The United Nation’s Child Rights Committee is meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, from 13 to 31 May to review Botswana, Cabo Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, Malta, Singapore, and Tonga. The Committee will also review Sri Lanka under the Optional Protocol on the sale of children.
Malta becomes ECOSOC member in January
Malta starts its tenure as a member of the United Nations' Economic and Social Council as of this January, to serve the international community.
