The Speaker of the House of Representatives bids farewell to Chinese Ambassador in Malta

Speaker of the House of Representatives Anġlu Farrugia received a farewell call today for the Chinese Ambassador to Malta, Mr Yu Dunhai.

During the meeting, Speaker Farrugia thanked Ambassador Dunhai for his dedicated service and commitment to strengthening the bilateral relations between Malta and China. He commended the Ambassador for his efforts in promoting cultural exchange, trade cooperation, and people-to-people ties between the two countries.

Ambassador Dunhai expressed his gratitude to the Speaker for his warm hospitality and support during his tenure in Malta and praised the Speaker for his leadership and vision in advancing the parliamentary diplomacy between Malta and China.

In his remarks, Dr Farrugia reiterated Malta’s commitment to deepening its friendship and cooperation with China, and expressed his hope for continued collaboration in the future.

The farewell call was a fitting tribute to the close and enduring friendship between Malta and China, and marked the end of Ambassador Dunhai’s successful tenure in Malta.
