The Academy of Givers is excited to announce the third edition of the For Impact Event and Fair that will take place on 12 March at Corinthia St George’s Bay, providing businesses a unique opportunity to come together, learn from industry experts, develop their ESG and CSR strategies and engage with various Voluntary Organisations, foundations, and social/environmental organisations championing different causes.

At this year’s event, which is a continuation of its mission to bring companies and individuals together to learn how to be more effective in their corporate responsibility and giving efforts, while facilitating collaboration between businesses and Voluntary Organisations, the Academy of Givers will also be sharing a preview of impactful insights from the research findings of its first Giving Report in Malta, shedding a light on how businesses give back to society and support VOs.  The Report will also provide useful recommendations for changes to  Giving in Malta, seeing how best to share resources and expertise to have a positive impact and improve the social and environmental situation. It will promote efficiency and a foundation to develop the sector, while creating long-term impact.

Building on the success of the previous editions of the For Impact Event and Fair, Business CEOs and Executives, HR and CSR managers, ESG and Sustainability Officers, Corporate and Philanthropic Foundations, and leaders of Voluntary and Social Purpose Organisations are being invited to participate in a day filled with networking opportunities, knowledge-sharing, and hands-on workshops.

Among the highlights on the agenda, the Academy of Givers is also proud to announce that Hedda Pahlson-Moller, co-founder of TIIME.org, impact catalyst, active investor, strategic advisor and adjunct professor – will be delivering a keynote speech themed “Giving Tomorrow – The Impact Imperative”, focusing on systematic change, utilising capital for good and impact.

The workshops will be conducted by various local and international experts, including Cécile Sevrain, co-founder of TIIME.org, adviser for several EU-based impact funds and lecturer at the University of Luxembourg and Emlyon business school; as well as Claudia Taylor East, Founder Member of SOS Malta, Catherine Calleja, Executive Director of Atlas Insurance, and Melanie Vella, Sustainability and ESG Solutionist from Tides Rising.

Running concurrently with the conference, an Impact Fair will be open to conference attendees providing an inclusive space for everyone to connect and learn more about social and environmental issues in Malta.

The Academy of Givers would like to thank APS Bank, Iniala Harbour House, Inspirasia Foundation and Gasan Foundation for supporting the For Impact Event. It also extends its gratitude to the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector, Belair Property, The Hudson Foundation and Eden Leisure Group for sponsoring this year’s Impact Fair.
