TradeMalta and HSBC Malta have renewed their strategic agreement for an additional three-years and launched the second edition of the Malta International Business Awards, according to a press release by the Department of Information (DOI).
The strategic agreement was signed by Michel Cordina, Executive Director at HSBC Bank Plc and Anton Buttigieg, TradeMalta’s Chief Executive Officer. Through this agreement, HSBC will support TradeMalta in its operational activities, including; trade missions, export-related learning seminars and educational programmes, country seminars, panel discussions and other TradeMalta events.
“HSBC Bank Malta Plc and TradeMalta work in tandem to promote international trade through various channels. During such events both TradeMalta and HSBC officials have the opportunity to meet with Malta-based company executives to exchange information on best-practice techniques, share experiences from different exporters, discuss opportunities in new and developing markets and provide company executives with bespoke market information, including business guides and market research”, said Carmelo Abela, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotions, who presided over the signing of this agreement.
HSBC will be supporting TradeMalta in the second edition of the Malta International Business Awards, which will be held on Friday, 22 November 2019. The awards are organised on a biennial basis, promoting the achievements and celebrating the success of Malta-based companies in international business, says the press release.
This event is being organised by TradeMalta and HSBC as a strategic partner. The awards are endorsed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry. Other sponsors include BPC, Grant Thornton and Big Exhibits.
