Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri has launched the Work Trial Scheme For Youths for another year, for young people and students from Gozo aged between 16 and 20. This scheme aims to provide them with the opportunity to gain work experience with private entities and non-governmental organizations during summer.

The Work Trial Scheme for Youths is a programme introduced by the Ministry for Gozo, with the goal of introducing young people and students attending academic courses to the world of work and assisting them in their career choices. These young individuals will have the opportunity to integrate and explore the world of work, thereby acquiring the necessary experience for their future.ADVERTISEMENT

“Students can work both in the private sector and with voluntary organizations, thus enhancing the values of work, respect, and solidarity,” Minister Camilleri said. This scheme, which was introduced five years ago, he said. Through this scheme, students will receive a weekly income of €100, amounting to a total of €500 over five weeks.

The scheme will commence on Monday, 7 August, and will remain in effect until Thursday, 7 September. Interested individuals can submit their applications online between Monday, 3 July, and Friday, 7 July, until noon. The application can be found on the website or through the mobile app ‘mygozo’.
