Austin Gatt resigns from 1923 Investments plc

1923 Investments plc has announced that Dr Austin Gatt has resigned from his office of Director, Legal and Judicial Representative with effect from 8th June. Dr Gatt has also ceased to be a member of the Audit Committee of the company from the 8th June.

The Board of Directors thank Dr Gatt for his service to the company.

The company further announced that Dr Ann Fenech has been co-opted to the company’s Board of Directors with effect from 9th June. The appointment was made by the Board of Directors of the company pursuant to Article 11(H) of the Articles of Association of the company.

The Board has also appointed Dr Fenech as an independent non-executive member of the Audit Committee with effect from the 9th June.

Dr Fenech is the Managing Partner of Fenech and Fenech Advocates, and the Head of the Marine Litigation Department. After qualifying in 1986 she joined the shipping and commercial firm of Holman Fenwick and Willan in London where she stayed until 1991 prior to joining New Orleans firm of Chaffe, McCall, Phillips Toler and Sarpy.

She is the President of the Malta Maritime Law Association and Vice-Chairman of the Yachting Services Trade Section at the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise
