BNF Bank supports Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta

BNF Bank has ensured the Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta’s newly-opened Learning Centre in Qawra of the bank’s support, according to a press statement issued on the website of BNF. The support happens in line with the bank’s “commitment to supporting local community initiatives”.

“BNF Bank holds a moral obligation towards the social progress of the community and embraces ethical considerations, that meet the expectations of our team, our clients and the public, to make a difference to people’s lives,” said George Debono, Chief Commercial Officer at BNF Bank.

“We are impressed by RMHC Malta’s commitment to contribute towards sections of society that are lacking in education, opportunity and inclusion. This initiative is particularly in line with our core value of Empathy,” the BNF CCO added.

However, the press statement issued by the bank has not detailed the means and ways of BNF support toward the charity.

“Globally, RMHC promises to Keep Families Close”, said Martin Xuereb, Chairperson of RMHC Malta. “We deliver on this promise in Malta by ensuring that support provided to children also benefits their families and guardians by extension. This is why the centre’s facilities and resources are made available to other voluntary organisations, even the smallest, so that they can provide their own services in the area. Once again, we would like to thank BNF Bank for supporting RMHC Malta for the second year running,” Mr Xuereb added.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RHMC) Malta opened a Learning Center in Qawra, San Pawl il-Bahar, offering a range of services and programmes for children and teens with learning or social challenges.

RMHC Malta is part of the Ronald McDonald House Charities global network. They deliver programmes and services in 64 countries and regions, helping over 5.5 million children and their families every year. McDonald’s has supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities since it was established in 1974. RMHC Malta’s leading benefactor is Premier Restaurants Malta, the operator of nine McDonald’s restaurants in the Maltese Islands.
