The Association of Catering Establishments (ACE) rebuts any allegations that Catering Establishments are not observing protocols, rules and laws. Indeed, the majority of enforcement visits from authorities result in such observance by the large majority whilst there have been minor non observance resulting from the logistics within such establishments such as the moving of a few centimetres of tables’ social distancing.
Nevertheless, the ACE condemns, if any, behaviour that is not in observance of the required protocols. ACE has always encouraged its members to abide by the rules for the common benefit of clients and establishments themselves. The ACE would like to thank the enforcement officers for their continuous work and encourages the authorities to take the necessary actions in order to stop mass gatherings wherever they are organised, be it establishments or private places.
ACE would like to take this opportunity to encourage the general public to observe the rules at all times. This is a common challenge that we all as a community face and the more disciplined we are the quicker we will all get out of this unprecedented situation. Education is key for the common good.
