As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, Copyquick staff members planted 28 tamarisk trees at the Xrobb l-Ghagin Nature park in Marsaxlokk. The trees were planted in the areas designated for afforestation of the Park.  This will now be taken care off to ensure their survival for the first few years.

Xrobb L-Ghagin Nature Park was entrusted to the management by Nature Trust – FEE Malta way back in 2007.  Apart from restoring the Garguie and Steepe habitats in the area, the organisation also planted a large number of indigenous trees and shrubs in the degraded sites with the aim to restore and improve the habitat of this area.

This park is enjoyed by hundreds of people every weekend who seek green open spaces for their recreation.  The park also receives a number of students each year on Education for sustainable Development activities. Since one of the main activities of CopyQuick is printing, including printing of students’ educational material, supporting such projects is one of CopyQuick’s CSR commitments.

Nature Trust Executive President – Vincent Attard thanked Copyquick and commended their CSR event.  He said such actions not only help Nature Trust in its restoration projects but also improves the environment with regards to ecology and air quality.

Such CSR activities help the non Government and non profit organisation to further improve such sites for the enjoyment of present and future generations. The fact that the park is full of visitors especially on weekends shows how much the public looks for such places.

Julian Borg, managing director at Copyquick said that the company was committed to contribute towards a healthier environment and to support Nature Trust in their ambitious projects. Julian Borg explained that all paper supplies are FSC certified to ensure sustainable forest management and all paper wastage is recycled.”
