Emirates will be increasing the frequency of its Malta-Larnaca-Dubai route to a daily service starting 1 December 2022. This will bring the airline’s operations on this route back to pre-pandemic levels, signalling a steady recovery amid easing of travel restrictions worldwide.

Emirates flight EK110 operates daily, leaving Malta at 1435hrs and arriving in Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus at 1900hrs for a stop-over and then continuing its journey to Dubai International Airport, landing at 0045hrs. The return flight departs Dubai at 0725hrs, with a stop-over in Larnaca and lands at Malta International Airport at 1305hrs. All times are local for each city.

Emirates Country Manager in Malta Paul Fleri Soler said: “Emirates’ operations in Malta have been going strong for more than 24 years. Despite the brief suspension of passenger services at the start of the pandemic, we remained committed to supporting the local community through the transportation of essential air cargo between Malta and other global markets. The return of Emirates’ flight frequency to pre-pandemic levels aligns with our strategy for the growth of the market and our efforts in supporting its tourism recovery.”

He added: “As more borders open, it’s essential for us to establish increased connectivity for international travel to and from Malta, offering more choice and flexibility whilst facilitating onward connections to several leisure and business destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Maldives, China, Japan, Thailand and Mauritius. In addition to providing more cargo capacity through our daily flights which will benefit the trade links between Malta, Cyprus and the UAE, as well as beyond to cities in our global network.”

The route is served by the airline’s modern and wide body Boeing 777-300ER aircraft – the largest passenger plane to operate in the market. With eight suites in the First Class, 42 seats in Business and 304 in Economy class, customers traveling on the Malta-Larnaca-Dubai route can look forward to enjoying Emirates’ world-class service and industry-leading products. Travellers can also enjoy more than 5,0channels of entertainment on ice, the airline’s award-winning inflight entertainment system, along with regionally-inspired gourmet meals. Emirates is also the only carrier to offer the First Class cabin on the route. The airline’s signature premium products also include onground Chauffer service to and from the airports.
