JCI Malta announces Public Speaking Competition

The JCI Malta Public Speaking Competition final will be held on 9 April. Pia Zammit will be delivering a public speaking training session to all participants

The JCI Malta National Public Speaking Competition is back for another year giving one winner the opportunity to represent JCI Malta at the JCI European Convention this June in Bruges, Belgium.

Two training sessions will be held on the 24 March and 5 April, respectively. The first session will be delivered by Anthony Galea, former winner of the JCI World Public Speaking Competition, where he will give tips and tricks on how to excel at public speaking, this will be followed by off-the-cuff speaking exercises. Pia Zammit will deliver the second public speaking training session focusing on individual mentorship, with JCI Senator, Rachel Cassar, explaining the JCI guidelines of the competition.

Participants will compete for the winning title during the semi-final and final on 9 April, hosted at the MCVS Volunteer Centre in Valletta in the presence of three judges who are experts in both public speaking and JCI competitions at an international level. Only participants who sign up for the competition can attend the training sessions.

Participation is free for registered JCI Malta members, and at a fee of €10 for non-members.

Participants need to be based in Malta or Gozo and aged between 18 and 40 to be eligible for the competition. The winner of the competition will need to be a registered and paid-up member of JCI Malta by 16 April, 2022 to be able to represent JCI Malta at the JCI European Convention.
