Karl Cilia has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Water Services Corporation with effect from the 25 July 2022. He will succeed Ivan Falzon.
Cilia is an informatics, technology and management graduate with experience in the private and public sectors. During his career, he worked for the multinational company IBM. He specialized in the field of Utilities and was instrumental in the implementation of the smart metering system of the Water Services Corporation and Enemalta.
In recent years Cilia served as Executive Director responsible for the operations of Enemalta.
