Finesse Group CEO Jo Caruana is celebrating her fifth anniversary as a StoryBrand Certified Guide – the only one in Malta and among just a small cohort across Europe and the UK.

Over the past five years, Caruana and her team at Finesse Group have helped businesses and brands of all sizes to clarify their message and tell compelling stories using the StoryBrand marketing framework. Meanwhile, Finesse Group has grown from a small, local PR and content firm before the pandemic into a global business with clients and team members worldwide.

“When the pandemic hit, I made a strategic decision to reinvest and internationalise by becoming a StoryBrand Guide,” says Ms Caruana. “This allowed us to reach clients globally, while still employing a mostly Maltese team. Today, over 75% of our portfolio comes from international markets.”

Maltese companies have immense potential to serve international clients through remote services due to Malta’s strategic location, English-speaking workforce and technological infrastructure, Ms Caruana believes. “We can just as easily deliver virtual workshops or digital content to San Francisco as to Sliema. Maltese service providers can absolutely compete on the global stage,” she affirms.

Finesse Group’s unique expertise helps businesses worldwide improve their communications, messaging, content, PR and business etiquette, to transform their clients’ experience at every touchpoint.

Recent business highlights for Ms Caruana have included two invitations to present at the prestigious StoryBrand Summit in Nashville, US, on the power of PR for growing brands. And, from mystery shopping and customer care training to messaging workshops and PR campaigns, Finesse is now working with clients all over the world.

“Mystery shopping is the best way to get an outside eye on your business so you can know what’s working and what to fix next,” highlights Caruana. “Meanwhile, storytelling is the most powerful way for businesses to connect with customers emotionally and stand out in crowded markets.

“I’m proud that a local business has grown to deliver world-class brand messaging and storytelling services to clients globally and I am honoured to continue my relationship with StoryBrand.”
