Malta Public Transport launches “Rate My Trip” feature on Tallinja App

Personalised Tallinja Card holders who have travelled on the bus for free within seven days can now rate their travel experience on the bus through the new "Rate My Trip" feature

As part of Malta Public Transport’s efforts to continuously enhance their service to the public, the company is announcing the release of “Rate My Trip” feature available only on the Tallinja App.

This new feature allows personalised Tallinja Card holders who have travelled on the bus for free within seven days to rate their travel experience on the bus. The aim of this feature is to identify strong and weak areas in our bus service, enabling Malta Public Transport to investigate specific routes, buses, or drivers and improve the overall customer experience.

Keeping in mind that bus passengers come from diverse backgrounds with different affinities with technology and possible language barriers, the “Rate My Trip” feature is designed in a user intuitive manner allowing everyone to participate and provide valuable feedback to the company.

To rate their trip, passengers simply need to download and register into the Tallinja App, add their Personalised Tallinja Card, select the “Rate My Trip” option from their transaction history, and submit their rating in two simple steps.

David Alvarez, Operations Director at Malta Public Transport said: “We encourage all Tallinja Card holders who have travelled on the bus for free to rate their trip within the following seven days to help us improve our public transport service. The feedback that will be received from our passengers is invaluable to us as it provides critical insights and identifies areas which might need to be addressed.”

The Tallinja App provides real-time information about the bus service and can be accessed by downloading it for free from the App Store on iPhone or the Google Play Store on Android smartphones. The Tallinja App also offers additional benefits for Tallinja Card holders, including the ability to check their card balance, top up their card, view their transaction history, and plan their journey using the app’s map and estimated time of arrival feature. With GPS technology, the app compares the location of each bus to where it is planned to arrive and estimates the time of arrival on each of the +2,000 bus stops around Malta and Gozo.
