Malta Enterprise Chairman William Wait and CEO Kurt Farrugia presented a donation to Darrin Zammit Lupi and to the Community Crisis Centre following this year’s Malta Enterprise (ME) CSR event. Last July, ME organised One Love…celebrating peace.

A concert featuring special guest Jamala, a Ukrainian international singer and Eurovision winner. This was complemented with a photographic exhibition by renowned photographers Darrin Zammit Lupi and Heidi Levine. The events were organized in aid of Rebecca Zammit Lupi Junior Secondary school in Ethiopia, in memory of Darrin’s 15 year old daughter Rebecca who died in 2021 from a rare form of cancer and towards the Ukrainian citizens who fled to Malta because of the war. A remarkable sum of €15,500 has been collected which went to support these two extraordinary causes.

“This was but a small gesture of goodwill from our end. Through this initiative we wanted to provide a tangible gesture that we are receptive to what is happening around us…we want to instil a culture of change, where we take an active role to contribute towards causes that matter for society” stated Kurt Farrugia. In the upcoming years, Malta Enterprise will continue to initiate a number of CSR projects that help to make a change, which can actively contribute to drive further the development and the well-being of society at large.
