New director for ReAPS Asset Management

Elizabeth Carbonaro has been appointed Non-Executive Director of ReAPS Asset Management Limited, the wholly-owned subsidiary of APS Bank plc active in fund and investment management services. She fills the seat vacated by Edward Cachia, who retired as Director at the recently held Annual General Meeting, having held the role since the company’s formation in 2016.

Elizabeth is a chartered certified accountant by profession, with years of accounting and insurance experience gained at PwC Malta and Luxembourg offices (1988-2000) and Mapfre Middle Sea (2000-2012). She joined Willis Towers Watson in June 2012 managing a number of captives and insurance companies domiciled in Malta. She was appointed Managing Director of the Malta office in 2016 and Regional Managing Director for the WTW Global Captive Practice, Western Europe in 2018. Elizabeth Carbonaro is an experienced professional especially in the financial and regulatory aspects of captives as well as providing them with consulting services from incorporation through to their ongoing management. She also sits on various Captive and Insurance Company Boards and is the Chairperson of the Malta Insurance Management Association.
