The planning authority has approved an application that increases the height of a 15-storey business tower in Ta’ Xbiex by two floors.
The application was filed by developer Michael Stivala.
The original approved building was to have a height of 15 floors, but this application will increase that height by two floors. It will also see the recess of the glass façades at all floor levels from all elevations and the reduction of the uppermost level from the approved 95 sqm to 70.5 sqm.
“The proposal would still maintain the approved potential gross floorspace of 4,824 square metres. The other alterations, primarily involve changes to the internal and external layout, which also include changes to the parking layout for an increase of 16 parking spaces for an overall parking provision of 137 parking spaces,” the application read.
The case officer had recommended that the application be approved, and the board approved it.
