Maltese IT service provider PTL Ltd—part of Harvest, which belongs to 1923 Investments Plc—has received the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 27001 certification, according to a press statement sent to Business Malta. PTL tags the certification as “critical”, which the company expects to complement its ISO 9001 maintained since July 2000.

“As a provider of information technology services, this certification demonstrates our strong commitment towards maintaining the highest standards of information security,” said Pierre Attard, Managing Director of PTL Ltd. “It also assures our customers, partners and prospects that the protection of their data is paramount to our operation and reputation,” he added.

ISO 27001 is known in the ISO family of standards that is designed to help organisations manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details and data entrusted to businesses by third parties.
