Offer applicable to all new customers registering for a Tallinja Card in May and using it to pay for one fast ferry trip between Malta and Gozo in June
As from 1 June 2021, all Tallinja Cardholders will be able to pay for their fast ferry trips between Malta and Gozo with their Tallinja Card and benefit from discounted fares. Malta Public Transport is teaming up with Gozo Fast Ferry and Virtu Ferries Gozo to offer a secure and cashless payment solution to people travelling between the islands.
During the month of May 2021, all customers who register for a new personalised Tallinja Card will automatically receive €10 free credit, if they pay for any fast ferry trip between Malta and Gozo throughout June using the Tallinja Card. The €10 free credit will be added to the Tallinja Card holders who qualify for this offer in July, and this may be used for any mode of transport that is integrated with the Tallinja Card, including public transport buses, Valletta ferries, fast ferries between Malta and Gozo, and Tallinja Bike.
“We are pleased to announce this collaboration with Gozo Fast Ferry and Virtu Ferries Gozo, which will provide passengers a truly seamless travel experience,” said Daniel Grech, Commercial Director at Malta Public Transport. “Following the successful integration of the Tallinja Card with various modes of transport, connecting our Tallinja Card holders to the fast ferries between Malta and Gozo was a natural step. By adding further services to our Tallinja Card we are demonstrating our commitment to make travel easier by supporting different modes of alternative transport.”
More than 340,000 customers already enjoy the benefits of the Tallinja Card, which has made boarding of public transport services smoother and quicker. Cardholders can manage their account directly through the Tallinja app to check balance, add funds, review their spend and book the on-demand public transport service.
The €10 free credit offer rewards new registrations just in time for the launch of the fast ferry service between Malta and Gozo. The registration process follows four easy steps and can be done online at: https://www.publictransport.com.mt/en/register-now
