Malta Enterprise launched the Startup Festival which is taking place between 11 and 13 November 2021 at the Kordin Business Incubation Centre.

The Startup Festival is the culmination of Malta Enterprise’s efforts in relation to startups, as it brings together various experts in different workshops, focusing on three main pillars; sustainability, digitalisation and innovation.

Malta Enterprise CEO Kurt Farrugia explained that ‘Malta Enterprise’s role in relation to startups is getting noticed, as we have enhanced our financial incnetives over the last year and today we have a very attractive package, and we also have consolidated the startup ecosystem in Malta through the launching of the national portal startinmalta.com, in March 2021.’

Furthermore, Malta Enterprise’s efforts are to be enhanced as announced in the Budget 2022 last Monday, as the Corporation is in an advanced stage of discussion with the Malta Residency Agency to launch the startup visa.

ME will also be establishing the Blue Med Hub which will bring together startups and investment efforts in relation to the Blue Economy.

The Startup Festival is a celebration as this year is KBIC’s 20th Anniversary. The Festival will highlight various success stories who had started from KBIC, or have received assistance in any way.

Malta Enterprise calls on to interested startups and participants to visit startinmalta.com to check out the programme and register for the workshops. Representatives of the one stop shop Business First will also be present able to offer guidance, assistance and services as usually offered from their offices in Imrieħel.
