The five chapters of Business Networking International (BNI) in Malta will hold its Joint Chapter event on 7 November, Thursday, welcoming businesses that seek to develop their network, according to a press statement sent to Business Malta. The meeting kicks off at 7.00 am at the Salini Resort in St Paul’s Bay.

During the open event, attendees will see how members participate in BNI by bringing bonafide referrals and/or visitors to their respective BNI chapter. Once a member, an individual gets access to BNI’s professional structure and a process of how that member can keep building relationships with other like-minded business people.

BNI also organises educational workshops and mentoring, in addition to the Members Success Programme (MSP): teaching members about more effective networking.

“BNI is about relationship-building. Therefore, the focus of membership is on the individual business,” BNI national director David Bullock said. “If one has a dream, if that person is focused, if the individual is ready to follow a process to become successful, then one has the right elements and fundamentals so that BNI generates more success for that particular business.”

Mr Bullock tags BNI membership as “exclusive”: only one person from each category, trade or profession is permitted to join a chapter, therefore, a member will not find competition from the same line of business in the same chapter.

“While all chapter members supply business referrals for the other members in that chapter. This way, all the members get access to more business opportunities. It is not rare to hear that two or three members join forces while retaining their autonomy, to create power groups and go for more and larger commercial initiatives,” added Mr Bullock.

Registration for the Malta BNI Joint Chapters event opens at 6.30 am. The event kicks off at 7.00 am and is scheduled to wind up around 9.30 am. Nevertheless, BNI advises to allocate up to 11.00 am for post-event networking.

It is recommended that one brings along about 100 business cards. Participation fee, including breakfast, is €13 per person.

Malta Business Network International (BNI) will hold an event called “Celebrating Women Entrepreneurs” on 11 July 2019 at the Royal Hall of The Palace Hotel in Sliema at 19.30, according to a press release sent to Business Malta.

The event targets female entrepreneurs and at those who would like to promote their respective established or even startup business through networking.

BNI says it has supported hundreds of women entrepreneurs to grow their business in the 70+ countries where it is active, whether it is just a startup or an already recognised business. It has given the opportunity to expand and grow businesses in other countries as well through its system of more than 9,500 chapters, as the press release says.

“This networking event is a great opportunity to pay tribute to all the wonderful women who, with great commitment and facing added challenges, endeavour towards their brand’s success, while contributing to the Maltese economy, not least by offering employment to other women and men. The reality is that some of these businesses cannot afford to advertise — at least, not extensively — so Malta BNI would like to offer them a different visibility opportunity to generate more business for them and to help gain further credibility and growth,” said Malta BNI national director David Bullock.

“The brainchild of our ambassador and public affairs director Carmel Bonello, this event will pay tribute to women entrepreneurs, and in particular to those who have launched their business this century. Through its core values, Malta BNI can offer them recognition, lifelong learning, innovation, mentoring, connections, ability to speak in public, and a positive attitude – all in the spirit of givers’ gain,” added Mr Bullock. “Many are those who speak about women’s empowerment but at BNI we have been actually making this a reality for the last 30 years globally and for the last seven years in Malta. Through this event, Malta BNI is offering them a platform for their creativity, innovation and passion and a level and equal playing field with men,” he said.

“This follows the highly successful BNI National Networking Day and the BNI Awards Dinner held respectively in January and March this year. BNI now has five chapters in Malta,” said BNI Ambassador and Public Affairs Director Carmel Bonello. “We are encouraging our members to bring visitors to this innovative event to create even more opportunities for increased networking, and the opportunity to pass and receive quality business referrals. If you have not yet experienced BNI for yourself, I personally invite you to attend our event on 11th July, be welcomed, enjoy an excellent buffet dinner including drinks, while doing business networking,” added Mr Bonello.

Registration for the event is open via Malta BNI Chapters’ social event coordinators or by sending a €35 early bird cheque per person addressed to Malta BNI by 5 July 2019.

The post BNI Malta to hold event celebrating women entrepreneurs first appeared on The Malta Business Weekly.

Business Networking International (BNI) has five chapters in Malta and will open their doors for businesses that want to develop their network on 8 May, Wednesday, at the Joint Chapters event, according to a press release by BPC International.

The Joint Chapters event will begin at 7:00 am with an early morning meeting at Salini Resort, bringing together representatives of various businesses to network practically with others.

Members participate in this global referral organisation by bringing “reliable referrals or visitors” to their BNI chapter. Once a member, BNI says will then offer “a professional structure and process” on how the member can keep building relationships with other business entities. This is done through educational workshops, mentoring and the Members Success Programme (MSP), which helps members learn how to become a more effective networker, the press statement says.

Only one person from each category, trade or profession is permitted to join a chapter. Therefore, one member would not have to compete with others in the same line of business, ensuring exclusivity, BNI says. Chapter members supply business referrals for fellow chapter members. “It is not rare to hear that two or three members join forces while retaining their autonomy, to create power groups”, says David Bullock, National Director of BNI.

The press release suggests that it is ideal to allocate up to 11:00 am for post-event networking. Participants are able to do 1-2-1 meetings with other participants and it is recommended that one brings at least 100 business cards. Participation fee, including breakfast, is €13 per person.

Registration for the Joint Chapters event opens at 6:30 am. The event will start at 7:00 am and end at around 9:00 am.
