Virtu Ferries has announced the admission prices for its fast ferry service, set to take sail in a few weeks’ time on 1 June.
A standard return fare will cost €12 for adults, youths and seniors and €6 for children.
A return fare for passengers in possession of a Tallinja card will cost €11 for adults, youths and seniors and €5.50 for children.
A return fare for Gozitan adults, youths and seniors will cost €5, while a fare for Gozitan children will cost €3.
Gozitan adults, youths and seniors in possession of a Tal Linja card will pay €4.60 for their trip, while a trip for children in possession of a Tallinja card will cost €2.70.
All infants will travel free of charge on the ferry.
The ferry service will see two vessels – San Frangisk and San Pawl – making the voyage between Valletta to Mgarr, Gozo. Both vessels formerly operated on the Malta – Sicily route.
The vessels have a cruising speed of 35 knots, equating to 65 kilometres per hour. The voyage between the islands will take 45 minutes.
The crossover will only be available for passengers, according to Transport Malta regulations.
Gozo Fast Ferries Ltd, which will also set sail on 1st June, has yet to announce its admission prices.
