With many Maltese crossing over to Gozo to celebrate carnival week, Bank of Valletta is launching a new edition of the Tap and Win Campaign, specifically for those customers who use their cards when paying their travel fare to and from Gozo. Participating is easy – one simply has to use a BOV credit or debit card to pay the travel fare when crossing to or from Gozo either with the Gozo Channel Ferry or the Fast Ferry, presenting either a physical card or using a digital wallet. Fifty cardholders will win back €50, which will be credited automatically into their card account.

Speaking about the initiative, Chris Degabriele, Head e-Banking at Bank of Valletta explained, “Over recent years, we have seen customers moving away from cash payment towards electronic means of payment for most purchases. This trend is very encouraging as it shows that more people are embracing safer, more secure, and more convenient ways of sending and receiving payments.

With thousands of cardholders travelling to Gozo over the carnival period, we would like to reward our customers for their loyalty whilst encouraging those who do not normally use their cards to embrace new alternative methods of payment. Bank of Valletta is committed to investing further in technological solutions to provide simpler and more user-friendly means of payment and this promotion is just one way of saying thank you to our customers”.

The Tap and Win promotion will run between Friday 9 and Wednesday 14 February, both days included. The lucky winners will be drawn at random after 14 February 2024. Additional information about this promotion, as well as the benefits linked to the BOV cards, can be found on the Bank’s portal www.bov.com, or by contacting Customer Service Centre on 2131 2020.
