Xara Collection Charity Dinner: A night of art, music, gourmet cuisine and celebration in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza

On the Wednesday 10th July at The Xara Lodge, the Zammit Tabona Family, together with the management of The Xara Collection, had the pleasure of organising the 8th edition of the dinner in aid of id-Dar tal-Providenza, held under the distinguished patronage of His Lordship Mgr Joseph Galea Curmi, Auxillary Bishop of Malta. All proceeds and donations collected throughout the evening went towards id-Dar tal-Providenza.  

Throughout the evening, guests celebrated and enjoyed flavourful food prepared by the talented Xara Catering team, paired with fine wines from Farsons and Marsovin, live music by Louise Ellul Bonici Quinet, while donating to such a worthy cause. This year an outstanding amount of €54,000 was collected on the night, contributing to the already existing tally and totalling the amount to the wonderful sum of €251,380, from its first edition in 2017.

Big players of the evening were the sponsors, who support the cause, year after year. The main sponsors were namely; Mimici Foundation, APS Bank, Seifert Systems, MIA, PWC, The Point Shopping Mall, EY, Halmann, KPMG, VJ Salomone, Camilleri Paris Mode, Concept Stadium, General Soft Drinks, Raico, MUMN, Mavenry, Wearworks.  Additional sponsors included Albert Camilleri (The Creatives) for photographic services, Louise Ellul Bonici and the musicians for the entertainment, Zaffarese, Joinwell FXB, Charles Grech, Alistair Floral Design, Somm Escape, JUGS, Jimmy Vella, The Master Cellar, Kontrada Wines, Stephen Cordina, MacBake, Alf Mizzi & Sons, Farsons, Mvintage Jewellery, il_lokal, The Phoenicia Malta and Iniala Hotel Valletta.

For the third year, Art played a big role in the evening. An Exhibition sponsored by Ms Wibke Seifert and Seifert Systems, was held, depicting art from 17 locally renowned artists –Throughout the night, guests were invited to view the fine pieces of art, and all paintings bought had 25%to 100% of proceeds which were donated to Dar tal-Providenza. Any paintings not sold during the night, have been moved to The Xara Palace Relais & Châteaux and displayed for sale for the following weeks.
