Fabio Spiteri has achieved the unthinkable by completing a legendary challenge to raise money for animal shelters across Malta. Fabio completed a 19KM Swim, 900KM Bike and 211KM run in 111 hours 30 minutes and 57 seconds! all for the love and support of our animal shelters and cat feeders across Malta and Gozo. Fabio was determined to complete this grueling challenge in mind and that is to reach €100,000 in donations.

The Alfred Mizzi Foundation is a strong supporter of this valuable cause for our animals and also Fabio’s remarkable achievement to complete five successive Ironman in the space of five days. Despite being in agony and the physical ordeal that he went through his determination kept him going with his one goal in mind. The Alfred Mizzi Foundation wants to contribute to this success and support Fabio for this great achievement by donating €10,000 to help him get closer to his dream.

Foundation Chairman Julian Sammut said that this contribution will hopefully arouse awareness for Fabio’s incredible achievement. ‘Just €25k to go now, Fabio deserves to reach his target as much as homeless animals need the support they can get. Let not Fabio’s suffering and sacrifice be in vain.’
