What could be the future of retail banking after COVID-19? This is the subject of a Central Bank of Malta’s TEAMS webinar with John Cassar White, who will draw on his decades of banking experience to provide critically insightful replies to a question that many are asking.

He will also take the opportunity to showcase some of the important work done by banking historian John Consiglio. Mr Cassar White recently reviewed Mr Consiglio’s recent Insights on Financial Services Regulation, a book that analyses developments in the regulatory sector.

Mr Cassar White is certainly no newcomer to the sector. He worked with a local bank for almost 40 years, serving for a number of years as its chairman. He remains on the board of several regulated companies. A former lecturer at the Institute of Business and Commerce of MCAST, he is chairman of the Malta Fiscal Advisory Council and of the Supervisory Board of the Malta Development Bank.

The webinar will be presented on October 26 at 11am, and a recording will be available on the Central Bank of Malta website a few days later for those who are unable to follow it live.

Those who wish to attend are asked to send an email to publicrelations@centralbankmalta.org so that a TEAMS invite can be sent to them with the meeting link. There will be a limited amount of time for questions and answers after the presentation.

The lecture forms part of the series organised by the Library at the Bank. Follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook to keep up to date with events. You can also sign up on our website to receive newsletters about the aspects of our operations that interest you.
